Our Nursery
|
We
grow indigenous tree species to support local biodiversity and
fruit trees to enhance local diets and provide a potential income
source. We produce tree varieties that are used locally to
provide both shade for coffee plantations, and for firewood. We
are growing Cypress as it is a sacred tree for Mayans, and hope
to grow Cacao (Cocoa) for it's cultural value (chocolate was a
sacred drink for our ancestors, and cocoa beans were used as
money) and it's economic potential.
